THERMAL TREATMENTS

Thermal treatments S.S.N (national health service)
Our thermal water is used for different spa treatments. Before undergoing thermal treatment cycles, in particular mud therapy, a medical examination is required in order to check the general state of health, since, for some treatment cycles, there are also contraindications. The medical examination will be carried out directly in our spa

Mud therapy

Thermal mud applications have been known for their healing properties since ancient times. The mud, composed of clay + thermal water, is particularly suitable for the treatment of osteoarthritis and other degenerative forms in the chronic (non-acute) phase such as osteoporosis, rheumatism,
lumbago, fibromyalgia, arthritis, rheumatism and tendinitis. Before use, the raw mud must mature in thermal water for at least 6 months, so that the clay receives from our thermal waters the chemical and chemical-physical properties contained in them. Maturation is performed directly in our facility. Mud therapy consists of 3 main phases: the application of the mud directly on the skin at a temperature between 37 ° C and 38 ° C for about 15 minutes, the shower with thermal water and the post-mud rest for body sweating. We recommend a therapeutic massage immediately after mud therapy to have greater benefits in the therapy itself.

Balneotherapy

Among the spa treatments, balneotherapy (from the Latin balneum, bath) is certainly the most traditional and appreciated, already known by the Romans who were the first to build spa buildings.
Balneotherapy consists of immersing the body in hot water for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. The bath can be done in our thermal pools. The composition of the hot thermal water has a curative action and the bath in the thermal water is a cure-all for the joints, in particular it carries out an anti-inflammatory action on the articular cartilages, strengthens the immune system and is good for the skin. In many cases, the therapy is carried out together with the mud therapy, for the simple fact of increasing the therapeutic power.

Inhalation treatments
Inhalations and aerosols give great benefits for the treatment and prevention of pathologies of the upper respiratory tract, such as sinusitis, rhinitis, tracheitis.
Thermal water aerosol therapy is also effective for the treatment of otitis, chronic bronchitis, tubal stenosis, rhinogenous deafness.
For the inhalations we use appliances in our spa which are able to fragment the mineral water into particles, forming a jet of steam, at an optimal temperature of 37-38 ° C, which is inhaled with the nose or mouth by the patient at a distance of about 20-25 cm from the spout.
For aerosol therapy, thermal water is fragmented into thin particles so that it can also reach the lower respiratory tract (bronchi). It is introduced with a nasal fork or a mask.
